Biff is the man! Saxon not only introduced viking mythology into heavy metal via its album covers, they were also among the first generation of metal bands to sing about social events and mix it up with all due denim and leather. Alas, commercially speaking, Saxon lost the battle (yes, pun intended) in the NWOBHM war against Motorhead and, especially, Iron Maiden. But they’re a great band until this day.
