Ch-ch-ch-Changes?
September 23, 2010
Produced at the all-time low of their career, Changes is unusually depressing, dull and out of date.
Yes, these are the reasons why i like it…..
Career lows are the new career highs.

Everything that u indicated is very good. I liked all u made.
Whoa! This must have been after their film, “Head”. I like the film, but I thought that was the low point in their career. Apparently not. I do like the Monkees and will give the tracks more than the cursory treatment they just received from me. You are awesome!
I’m 21 and Changes is the only Monkees album I do not have. Only because it was so hard to find in the record stores. I believe they are highly underrated in the 60′s pop/rock scene, simply because they had their own tv show and didn’t play their own instruments AT FIRST. But they did write alot of their own songs even from the beginning and after the 2nd album, most instruments were played by them.
Micky’s use of the moog synthesizer in the song Daily Nightly was the first pop recording to feature this instrument. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXmcweS2cnQ
LADY STARLIGHT I FUCKING LOVE YOU!!!!! Your amazing and SOOO georgous!!!!! <3333
Starlight, hello!
I quite liked the Monkees, I saw their tv shows a long time ago, it was fun at the time.
Starlight, you cheeky monkey! xx
PS, I’m glad you’re on the Euro leg of the Monster Ball. I want to see you throw some shapes and strut your stuff. You can even play the Monkees, you could make a techno/dance mix! ‘Whey hey we’re the Monkees, boom, boom, boom, boom, lol!
Michael Nesmith was one of the producers (of 3! Working simultaneously) of the Monkees songs right from the beginning. And Peter Tork played on a bunch of the early tracks. Sadly no Michael on Changes. That has to be a strange one. Scared to go there.
I remember liking only one song on this album, “99 Pounds,” which seemed a little heavier than most, but it’s been many years since I heard it.
